Under most circumstances what would we, myself included, say about a parent buying a 7 year old a BCI? Boaguy is a definite exception to just about every sterotype of teens these days though and proved himself very knowledgable and more mature than most adults I know when it comes to his herps, but that is quite a jump for a parent. I know that we all cringe at the sight of young kids running around the herp shows carrying little snakes.
But from John's point of view, heck yeah he has cool parents I wish my mom would have let me get snakes when I was younger! |

True that bci's would generally get too big for young kids to handle, but the fact they support him in his interest is awesome. My mom was the same way. She was, and still is, supportive of anything I do. She never told me I could not do something. If it was something bad, she warned me of the dangers, and let me do my own thing. Look at me now: I don't smoke and I rarely drink. When I do drink it is light.  |
