America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. – John Quincy Adams (1821)

Fantastic looking kingsnake.
It's amazing that the snake is still within reach. If I ever let go of my kingsnake, he would have been gone in a New York minute.

He's a cute little toe nipper.
Not trying to steal this thread from your lovely pet but I just lost my ball python somewhere in my house and I've been hoping she would "find" me the way yours did.

When I was raising mice I had my milksnake get loose. I found him a week later on top of the mouse cage looking in.

Very nice. My old kingsnake escaped and my wife found him in the shower. She was not pleased. I had no clue he was missing.
