Here are a few pictures from a reptile seminar I did with some friend from Hoosier Reptiles. The show is for children and they talk about snakes of North West Indiana.
I brought some of my Boas just to show the kids some bigger snake they would normally not get to see and touch. My Vet let me take his Alligator named Gates for this show. Gates was a big hit. Gates is a very tame Alligator my Vet has had him for 20 years. He got him in as a rescue as he was not feed right as a baby and his jaw did not formed correctly.
I did not let any of the children touch Gates as you just never know what could happen.
We used Gates to show everyone what that little Alligator at the Pet Shop will look like. Then told them all about what you would need to take care of big Alligator and why they may not make good pets for most people. I do know some people that can and do take very good care of Alligator. My Vet is one of them. Gates as all the room and care he will ever need.
Take care
Tom
