... luck was on my side today. (Thankfully! )
So it's a beautiful day here in northern California. The sun is out, the temps are perfect, and everyone is in a good mood, or so I thought. I finish breakfast, and my girlfriend is explaining something to me when I have the inkling (sp?) to pull out Chaska for some pictures. So in I go, with the best of intensions; hehe. With the typical fanfare, gesturing, and loud exhaling (but no hiss!) So we wrestle for a minute or two, and out she comes without too much objection. But she is unusually active, and mostly looking for the dark spaces, so I am on guard, but still handle freely: touching her head, blocking her snout with my palm, non-restrictive, etc. Out to the living room, and on to the floor to gauge her, and snap the below pic.
It comes out good, so we snapped two more, and then Chaska had enough, lol. I tried to position her by holding the lower 1/3 of her body, and she twisted over on herself with mouth agape, shaking her head back and forth. Now this girl has a big head, and a big mouth! My heart rate jumped through the roof ! My gf is now running around our coffee table looking for a blanket to throw on her, and I'm trying my hardest to keep her out of the sofa. While I directing traffic I feel my hand get musked, yay! At the same time as I am investigating my smelly hand, she manages to get her head around the sofa leg. Luckily she can’t get any further, and I rescue her by lifted the couch just enough. Now she is weeweeed, and looking for something to hit. I still have her back half, and hold on. My gf has a blanket just out of strike range, which is keeping her attention. I manage to move her back to her cage, walking backwards . She was visibly irritated, but didn't strike after the head shaking incident. And calmly went back into her cage. Whew! What a way to start my Saturday. No pics for the bleeders club today! hehehehehehehehe....

I'd have paid big bucks to see a video of that!!! She's a mighty impressive Peruvian Rob (especially when she's P.O.'d and you're facing the business end!!! ). Glad that no blood (yours) was shed. She was just telling ya it was her bedtime (women can get grumpy that way sometimes)!!! Well, the rest of the weekend should be downhill from here! Thanks for sharing the great pic!

haah Ti, what a handful! I know what you mean about directing traffic, esp when they
get near the sofa!! I've had a boa (autumn) and an adult corn get into sofas... which of
course had to be sacraficed in my frantic hunt and rescue. lol
That is a nice pic tho, think it was worth it?
