Thought I'd share some of my new pics, I posted them on that 'other site' but wanted to share here too..
This pic was taken 10/01 when I first got Vegas: (5 months old)
Here she is just the other day... 2 years old now
Both Cinnamon(salmon) and Vegas were born 5/01, here is a comparision pic.
(I've only had Cinn for about a year now)
And here is Cinn and Zahara trying to hang out together lol

Looking good!!! Snake aint bad either Maybe the size difference has something to do with how it was fed as a neonate. In my last clutch of BCI my hold back Valentino was the same size as the larger neonates of the clutch. Well the way I feed him he grew like a weed and is knocking on 4' real soon and he was born March '02, I ran into someone that bought one of his siblings, and it was nowhere even close to his size, almost half. I know she isn't going by the proper feed size. I tried to educate her when i saw this.
Maybe they were fed different as neonates. I can see you obviously know how to feed them.

Ed, yeah I think the salmon was fed small items, I'm not sure, but she's catching up
fast (just made the move to rat-pups with her). Vegas just took her first small rat, so
she should be having a little growth spurt soon. I do feed on a slower-gradual basis,
one item about every 7-14 days. I try to vary as much as possible.

Well I commented over at the 'other' site too, but I'll do the same here. Vegas has one of the most stunning tails I've seen (pics) on a BCI...glad she's doing so good!
Still don't understand why the best looking herp-woman in northern California wants to move to Las Vegas! The fact that I lived there for 10 years and couldn't wait to move away has nothing to do with it!!! On the bright side of that Steve she's one state closer to Chicago. I feed mine on a weekly schedule. valentino is eating medium rats now and they barely put a bulge in his belly. At the rate he's growing he'll be up to large rats before I know it. She does have a great tail, Valentino has a pretty nice one too. Could make an interesting breeding project in a year or 2.

What can I say? I like the heat lol Actually moving there has more to do with the
fact that I just cannot afford to live in this pricey Bay Area anymore.
I'll go look for pics of Valentino
I am hoping my albino has babies, if so I plan to keep a male and eventually breed
with Vegas, can you imagine albinos with big side-striped red tails? At least, that is
my long-term goal. Vegas has darkened up quite a lot since she was a baby, but for about
2 weeks after shedding or in her lightphase you can see the nice red color...

Nothing like it was as a baby, but I still like it.

I hope so! Talked to my Mom on the phone this morning (she still lives there)...the forecast is for 115 degrees F today!!! Anyway, really looking forward to Vegas' future breeding projects.

Yup, she's a BCI, bred by a breeding in .. Vegas of course! Both parents were
normal (big mom, she was 10'!) and half the litter came out with the side-striping...
she was a pick-of-the-litter but the original owner decided to sell so I snatched her up!
I even drove to vegas to get her. (well I was going there anyways at the time, but
it makes a nice story, heee)
