Size is good, and it looks strong and heavy lol. BUT, there is one major thing I would recommend.
You should stain it, then coat it with about 5 coats of polyurethane, then seal up all the seams with silicone. If you dont do these things, urates, poo and water will create bad odor, rotting wood and mold issues.

Once you get it all sealed up that cage will last a life time. It you feel an earthquake you can climb in it! I would think FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) lining the inside would do wonders as well.
