I few years ago I used to have one of them, some people found a whole batch of them and gave one to me. I was never bitten but my brother has very bad luck with a lot of things, fire, sharp objects, and my animals my leopard gecko has even drawn blood from him and left a scar across his nuckle. But dad told me that I could only have one reptile in the house ( with the execption of a snake). He said I would have to get rid of the turtle soon anyway because it was getting to big, so I let it go in the well behind our house, we have an artesion well that is supposedly bottomless but it is full of little fish for him.
