Well, I finally got tagged by a real snake. (BP's don't count ) Was feeding night, and Asia turned up her nose at her dinner, so after 1/2 an hour, I removed it. Put her back in the cage, and reached to get her water bowl to clean and refill it. She does NOT eat in her cage, only in a feed tote. I had just washed my hands, but apparently still smelled good, cause when I reached in to get the water bowl, she tagged me. And she didn't just tag me, she constricted my arm........lol. A quick dunk in some cold water convinced her I was not food. So I put her back in the feed tote, with the rat she snubbed earlier, and still no interest . Mayber she heard humans taste like chicken? I don't know why she did it, but I'm sure it was something I did, and I will figure it out so as not to do it again, lol. At least it was the little burm, and not the big one. Anyway, here's a pic of the "mauling", I only wish my kid had grabbed the camera while she was still attached.(Bonus points, you know!!)

Wrapped you up too, huh? That would have been a cool pic but I doubt that you were thinking about how cool it would be to have that pic at the time. I don't know how often that has happened to you but I would imagine it probably got the ol ticker pumping a little faster than normal!

Actually, she's about 4ft. which is a lot smaller than her 10ft "sister"..........lol. And I actually was laughing. After she did it, I called my son and he came in and his eyes got big, he thought I was joking cause I was laughing. I imagine if it had been the big burm, I would have been a lot more nervous, but I usually only freak out over bugs, spiders in particular........lmao

OUCH! The Sunn thinks she'd be getting and cleaning and replacing the water bowl while snake is in the tote from now on......
She's only 4 ft and her sister is 10 ft???? Now that is surely size variation or is it a repeat breeding that makes them sisters? Wow!
Don't forget to treat your wound like you would if it was hers!!!

I really like the pooling of the blood, very nice pic - what kind of burm is that to not eat its meal? Is it on a hunger strike or something?
