What kind of Boa
I have had her for a year now. And have taken her to a pretty good vet but both times I forget to ask her what kind of red tail she actually is. So that is my question. Her spots are a dark dark red if that makes any difference.

Re: What kind of Boa
judging by saddle count, and small peaks on the first few saddles I would Say she is possibly a cross of a BCI and a BCC, but unfotunatly most of the time when someone is at a loss for what species there boa is, it gets "labeled" as a Cross, So Honestly I am Not sure I would say BCI

Re: What kind of Boa
Peaks and saddle counts are not good indicators. Looks to be a common boa (Bci) to me.

Re: What kind of Boa
Thank you. I was thinking that and then I see all the BCI with the bright red tails so I didn't think it was.

Re: What kind of Boa
Label it a common BCI and be happy. You'll develop a major headache trying to dig any deeper.

Re: What kind of Boa
The only 100% definite guaranteed way to know what locale your boa came from is to go there and get it. Since most of us can't do that, the second best thing is to only buy from people that we trust to know where they came from.
The best we can tell you is "It looks like a BCI". That is the straight truth. Anything else would be guessing.
