Don't worry BW, your checkbook is safe so long as it's empty.

I've never actually seen a woma, but they look gorgeous, and everybody I've ever talked to about them say excellent things. Apparently womas are quite cheaper than Blackheaded pythons, though... So you can look on the bright side as far as that goes. I've also been told both snakes have a high tendency toward cannibalism (apparently they like other reptiles in the wild). I dunno. BTW, where do you get quail chicks? Sounds expensive.

Stormy- They're relatively stable at their current price for now, but I foresee the woma market crashing in the not-too-distant future. More and more people are working with them, and they're easy to keep and breed. Unfortunately though, there's a lot of low-quality womas hitting the market as well.
Herm- Womas are very docile when they're not expecting a meal. Holding a woma is basically just like holding a wet noodle. However, they're tremendously agressive when feeding.
Ed- That's just the way womas are. They're bulky snakes. I was actually kind of amazed to see how tall they are in comaprison to their width.
BW- my checkbook is still cringing. I was in good enough shape after buying these guys, but really buried myself with the last round of purchases (dh snow bci, dh ghost bci, spotted & children's pythons, corn morphs, black rat morphs, and black milks). Until I get back on my feet, I have to cut back on a few luxuries, like... food for myself.
Ben- Just do it, and don't look back! You won't regret it.
Jules- I'm a sucker for those, too.
Gibson- five months.
Chris- Yep, womas are cheaper than blackheads, and a lot easier to work with as well. Both species consume reptiles as part of their natural diet. As for the quail, I have a friend who breeds them for his own consumption. He gets an average of 250 eggs per week, so I have a neverending supply of quail.
