Angus (how can I compete with hot babes and a Porsche??!!)

Well, here is Angus. Angus has been not eating as much lately. I want any opinions on size for a male. My female is so much bigger and eats every week (a large or jumbo), while Angus goes 2 or 3 weeks and then has a medium rat... Angus is one of Sprinter's babies from last year. He is 1 year and 6 months.



Here is an idea on his girth. He seems thin but strong.



Body shot. He's skin is not loose, but when I touch in on his belly he seems "empty"...

All I can guess is he maybe doesn't like your supply of rats and gives in when he's really hungry. He really should be eating more often than that....has he always been that way? He looks a bit thin but not too bad really. A little bulk certainly wouldn't hurt him any. Since he is acting that way....will he eat 2 rats at a feeding or maybe a larger one?

I thought I might be pushing him too hard and kept him on medium ones for now. He just eats one. He has always been choosie about when he eats. For a while he would only eat in the dark.

He is on pre-killed. What would you sugest, try a smaller size or try a mouse? I always think it is better to establish a rythm (weekly, bi-weekly) with a smaller prey than to get a large one in sometimes.

he looks way too big for a mouse. I don't think he would get near enough nourishment from a mouse. Make him watch the Karen Carpenter story....that might do the trick.
