Our BRB is about 15 months old and about the size of yours. I'm glad to see that. I was afraid she was way underweight. How much does yours weigh?? Ours only weighs 120g. She's been a finicky eater. She'll only eat live but sometimes will take F/T after live. She got out this summer and was missing for 9 weeks! I gave up after 6 weeks and gave the tank to another snake. I found one of our cats playing with her in the downstairs entryway on a cold tile floor. She went from 65g to 49g but regained most of it after rehydration. No obvious injuries and restarted eating on the first try a few days later. Hasn't missed a beat since.

This picture's a couple of months old and my hand's a bit bigger than yours.

Aw poor thing! They definitely can be escape artists. Itzel weighs 122g, so they're almost exactly the same size. We had trouble with her at first because she wouldn't take rats AT ALL and we had to keep filling her full of fuzzy mice. She eats f/t rat pups pretty reliably now, so she's really started growing. I was always worried that she was undersized too! I'm glad that there's another little BRB out there right on track with her. Watch, they'll both grow up to be HUGE I bet.

We should try F/T rat pups. She's been eating live fuzzies with an occasional F/T hopper chaser. He last feeding she ate a live pinkie mouse, 2 live fuzzies and 2 F/T hoppers!
I hope they get huge!!

My BRB is 15 months old and still bright orange. BRB's are supposed to keep the bright orange. Most other Rainbow Boas lose it to some degree. Columbian Boas fade to a solid brown.

Re: BRB pic thread!!
I don't have this one any more. My ex kept it when we split, and then sold it. This was the April 2003 SOTM pic.

How is your BRB doing??? Getting big???
Ours has been eating better, but still needs to start with live before taking F/T. She's up to 252g eating adult mice or rat pups every 2 weeks. She has gotten an attitude lately. She bit and wrapped my hand after I weighed her 3 weeks ago. She ate (4) adult mice that day! Since then when I take her our to eat she looks likes she wants to eat ME! She needs more attention.
