Awesome pics!
Try using water that's a bit cooler next time. The warmer the water is, the easier it becomes to break the skin. You just had the water too hot, is all. Make sure your water temps don't go aboe 102 during the thawing out. I usually make my water between 88 and 92. Takes a bit longer, but the skin doesn't break like that.
Again, great pics. Beautiful little snake.

Thanksss
Yea, after that i finally decided that i'll just let the mouse thaw out overnight. Then just use warm water to make sure he's completely thawed out.

Re: My Boa: Shed! Bloody Feeding Pics! New Hairdo! 14 Pics
What is the problem in having the mouse bleed? Other than maybe being a little messy. I use warm water to thaw mine and wait about 1/2 hour for the pinks and 1 hour for the adults, then I give it a fresh shot of warmer water for about 5 minutes just to bring the temps up a little. Ocassionally, I 'll get one that bleeds but that is usually after I squeeze it a little just to make sure it is thawed the whole way through.
As a matter of fact that is how I have always gotten my reluctant feeders (sand boas and cornsnakes, def. not the RTB) to start to eat. I have never had to brain anything, instead I squeeze the head and let a little blood run out the nose.
If it bleeds does that mean it isn't properly thawed? I had overcooked the pinks at first and the neos wouldn't even take them.
