My first car was a Stang. and 3rd and 4th, got into shows and it's a long story from there.
Look in the mirror for those BLUE lights

Re: Me and my Mustang
Nice 'stang, but definitely bide by other peoples warnings... kids with fast cars (mustangs, cameros, firebirds, etc) are not a good combination.
A kid that was supposed to be graduating a year ahead of me back when I was in highschool wrapped his car around a tree killing both himself and his girlfriend, now all they have is a page in the yearbook...
I'm a firm believer in kids having to work for all their own money, and if they want a car, they should pay for it themselves (not 'working' for mom and dad). I figure this way, most kids won't be able to afford the fast cars, and will have to deal with getting a beater that's going to be less likely to show-boat and end up painting a tree red. ie - my first car (just retired it a couple of weeks ago) was a '91 buick century, paid for with my own savings.

I totally agree, my kids will be purchasing their own cars just like I did. My oldest girl is 9 and she already knows this and is working on her savings now. And BTW Cash is the way to go, money placed on time can distroy a persons future; "the borrower is a slave to the lender".
