. . . but the pet store was right next door. So, I go over there a lot just to check up on their snakes, and talk to people who look like they plan to buy one. Today, tho . . . I don't like to buy from petstores much, and this one had a tick-infested bunchin a month ago. However, there was a beautiful orange-tinted, nice blushing, 90% spine stripe Ball Python there today. Oh, and you can actually see the coloring in the top part of her eye. I couldn't say no (since it fit the description of one of the two neat-lookin' snakes I plan on having, as far as BP go). I checked it for mites, no. Ticks, no. Mouth rot, no. IBD, no. Active, yes.
So I caved. Bought her a 10g isolation tank for the next couple of months. She's so pretty! The name is Shmee. I THINK it's a she, since she's thicker than my male Spooky, and the body goes more smoothly into her tail. I need to get her probed, tho.
I'll put this post here until I get the blasted Digicam some batteries, then I'll post some pics. Should be this evening.

Really? You mean no obvious external signs, right?

yah, to really check for IBD I think you need to have a tissue sample.
There are not visual checks.

Well, you people always tell me to see if they respond when you move your hand near their face or just stare off, and if they can right themselves when turned on their back. THAT'S what I checked. Signs that might maybe mean that he could have IBD, lol.

Finally. Here are the pics:
Her "isolation tank" all gussied up for the holiday:

Best pic of what color she is:

Rather dark, but the best pic of her stripe:

And one of the best part of her striping:
