The carpet is the sweetest thing I own... never snaps.... never hisses.. not the least bit head shy. It seems to love coming out of the cage and being held and is always on the move checking things out.
I love that snake
Then again I love all of them... but the carpet seems to have more personality than my others.

The pic of the beardie, Savannah, with the "sand" on her head was kind fo funny. She made one heck of a mess on a thing we have for her to climb on and we had to take it out to clean it. When we put it back in we messed up her little spot where she has a hole dug to sleep. She went right over there where the holes used to be, gave us a dirty look and then started throwing the "sand" every where. The pics were taken after a few seconds of her little temper tantrum.
The "sand" we have in the enclosure is actually crushed and colored walnut shell, not calci-sand or repti-sand but actual walnut shell. It is supposedly even more digestable than for reptiles.

Update.... added a second bearded dragon to the collection tonight. (Traded our Bay of LA Rosy Boa for it) A male almost the same size as the female in the pics above. Hopefully there will be some wee little dragons in the future

Hey Stormy just a quick side note! Those crushed Wal-nut shell's have been known to cause some nasty digestive problem's they have very sharp edge's when inside the stomach and can cause bleeding!! Or lead to impaction's!!! Just to throw you a head's up on those thing's!!!

Thanks for the info on the walnut shell.
I will switch back to calci-sand for the dragons!

Shadrock beat me to the chase, and as far as calci sand is concerned only use it for adults, the youngs one's hunting skills are off and they ingest to much of it and can become inpacted as well. For the first 9 months I used paper towles and then switched over to sand. I love beardies, they are one of the more intelligent lizards I have kept....
