I appologies for the bad pics but my camera really stinks and i no longer have acces to the camera from where I worked. Plus If I got any closer to the tank he would strike at the glass.
I got this one from KolleenJ its a male about 5' long or so. He's a pretty big boy. He had a real big attitude though too. He is like a kind of burnt orange with some green shading spots here and there. His belly is pure White. He is in wonderful condition!
This story very easily could have ended in disaster had it not been for the extremely good care Kolleen took in packaging him. Saying it was impressive is a major understatement. He was shipped Airborne Express. Kolleen told me when to expect him and gave me the tracking number. So I waited and waited and no package. I tracked the package and it had no information about it. So I called Airborn to be told that there was a problem at the airport and the package never left Utah. So this guy had to sit in the airport for an entire extra day. He arrived the day after. I was afraid to open the box. But I opened it unpacked the bag and saw it move. So I took him down to his cage and set him free. he came out striking like mad. I would to after that ordeal.
If you have a chance to do business with KolleenJ you don't need to worry at all, She takes excellent care of her animals, and does a superb job in packaging them for shipment. Had she not done it like she had I doubt he would have made it alive.
Oh Yeah I named him Hannibal

Ed r, nice boa. I love seeing the different ways people have of setting up their cages.
I have never had any of these boas before, but a friend of mine had an ETB for years and the lil' sucker was guaranteed to strike at you every time you were near. Are all the tree boas like that? He caught me once, but immediately let go and tried to get me again.
Lil' sh**!

Yes Morti.. Most are known to be strikers but it is possible to tame the animal.. I read up a lot on them when i was planning on getting 1.. id say its worth the agressiveness for the look of the animal.. its called the cheap mans emerald, lol

yeah they are all well known to be highly agressive. funny usually once you get them in your hand they normally dont bite the hand that grabbed them. I guess they realize if the did you may slam them into the wall if they did.lol

Woohoo he got you GOOD!!! First couple days he was real bad now he has kinds settled in his little corner. seems pretty sedate for now. He ate a real large mouse. very lazily actually didnt even bother to get up. So far I'm still a virgin to an Ammie bite. Hope to stay that way too.
He was starting to shed in pieces but I misted him real good and he got it all off by himself. I was glad didnt feel like helping him.
He is real pretty though. Definately gotta love an Ammie.
Thanks again for getting him to me.
