Micrurus diastema. 5km southwest of Leona Viccario, Quintana Roo, Mexico.. One of the darkest specimens I have seen.

well, I was very thrown off since someone was handling it.
I didnt expect a micrurus to be free handled.
I assumed it was a colubrid..
