White Moose:
We have a simple recessive allele for "white" in our moose population. Highest concentration of the allele in North America. No one knows if it is "albino" or "white"...hard to round up funding for that 
Anyway thought it was an interesting shot. Don't reproduce the photo outside of rtb.com please.

They have been spotted here since the 1950's some are thinking that it took 50 years for the "hets" to build up in the population so that they show up with a higher frequency due to the phenotypic "normal" animals all being "hets"

They can be legally hunted. Hunters tend to avoid them....a lot of people are a fan of them so it would probably be hard to find someone to butcher the carcass if you dragged in a white moose.  I wonder if the meat is lighter
