It has been a while, for sure. I thought I would post a few pictures I've gather over the last month or two.
Bella:
To explain the next two pictures, I usually put Bella in a box when I feed her, because she's still a little shy around everyone. So, I put her in her box and went to go get the rats that were thawing. Then I discovered that they weren't ready so she patiently waited for the rat to come by sticking her nose out of the opening in the box, because she knows it's coming. 5 minutes later I go get the rat, and she's out of her box! So I wonder if she's starting to get a little braver than normal. I try dangling the rat, and she looks at it for a while. So I set it down and she starts guarding it and staring at everyone in the room. She did that for about 5 minutes before I'm like... ugh, screw it. So I made a makeshift enclosure:
You can see her in there. She was starting to eat when I took this one:
I'm telling you guys. YOUNG BOAS feed much better when they are in a place that nobody can see them. The second I made that little fort, she chowed down on it. The difference between trying to feed while exposed and trying to feed while enclosed is like night and day. Remember that if you have a young Boa that won't eat for you.
And continuing on....
Soak right before a shed:
Don Giovanni:
Whenever I hold both of them at the same time, one or the other (usually Bella) will cross hands and start crawling all over the other. It's really funny and convenient for me, so I have a hand to do things.
Feeding time:
Also, this is what I wake up to every morning, only instead of him sitting there, his guage is on the ground, his hides are messed up... it's like I have to rearrange the tank every day. Lately I have just been keeping it how he wants it.
Mehemet Vineesh:
Fishing... something he enjoys. You can see his little face sticking out:
And when I take him out to clean or whatever, he usually sits here:
And that's about it. Take care.
