This week's new arrivals- some new pituophis

I happened to get lucky this weekend.

When I got home from my latest litle trip, there was a shiny new Discover card waiting for me in my mail. I'd like to thank the folks over at Discover for the 2.2 longicauda and 1.1 womas that will be arriving here later this week.

I'll post pics when they arrive. The longicauda are this year's babies, so they aren't much to look at just yet. They're Harding stock, so I'm fairly confident that they'll be spectacular adults.

The womas are Hamper stock, and are unrelated. The deal that I'm trying to work out is for a pair of yearlings, but I may just end up going with a pair of this year's babies if the price is right.

Well, the hits just keep on comin'. I finally got paid for the Dayton trip, and I still have about another $1K coming from Uncle Sam for the trip to Grissom. Since my birthday is next wek, I view these as being an early b-day present to myself.

This morning's newest purchases are:

Unfortunately (depending on your way of looking at things), the womas are on hold until after Daytona. The reason is that prices are more flexible then.

As for the northerns, sure thing Jay! They won't be ready to produce until '04, but it will be worth the wait. The pair that I'm receiving is fifth generation pure Jersey Pine Barrens stock, and unrelated. Here's a pic of one of the pines, along with a pic of the snow bull. Both pics are the property of John Schmitt.
