I found a beautiful red and pink Suriname RTB... and I mean great colors! it's a 5 month old male, but the guy is asking 525$ for it... is that as crazy as I think it is or should I go for it?

surinames are not cheap, especially really nice ones.
it all comes down to how much you want to have that animal in your care.
if its a truly awesome snake (which it sounds) then its worth every penny.

It's up to you, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have seen surinams sold for 1500 - 2000 if they are nice enough.

Hmm... how do you tell if the RTB is Suriname? Mine's rather pink, moreso after having shed.

suriname is a locallity...u would know a suriname by a brilliantly red colored tail....and also, by the fact that u most likely woulda paid 400+ for one.

The guy's kid was given the boa as a graduation gift, but he left it with his father when he left for college, and the guy didn't want to take care of him anymore, ergo he probably would have been drastically cheap anyway I dunno. I'll take some closeup pics later and post them. ^_^
