i did have one 500watt microclimate ahs heater with built in pulse proportional thermostat seemed to struggle a bit so i've now got an additional 250watt heater as well and just a standard 40watt low glow bulb the heater u can see in the first pic on the right very good heaters they keep the temp consistent 92-95 at the hot end and right at the very end on the cool side its 80 these temps are measured by a digital themometer at either end humidity is 50-60

HI, have to say that looks gr8. I'm just in the proecess of building something similar, I'll attatch a pic. dont you find your losing a lot of heat through the holes you drilled for ventalation though? I'm gonna buy the brass ones from B&Q. I just gotta get my runners and glass mon/tues, this week. btw mines only just over 4ftx2ftx2ft so I'm jealous lol.

yeah heating was a bit of a problem but i've got round using two heaters creating hot spot of 92-95 degrees and a cool end the lowest temp is 80, but i have played about with it and u can control the ventilation depending on how close the tank is to the wall, thats why i gave the viv more ventilation than needed so i can push right up against the wall. seems to working ok, built it about 2 weeks ago and humidity is good staying between 50-60 had to use 2 water bowls though. she seems very happy with the extra space, still a bit more nervous than usual but she is settling down to the new surrondings.
