Soft lighting for soft colors...?

I tried something a little different today. I really wanted to try to capture some of the gorgeous coloration that is coming in on my Coral Albino Boa. I took her outside and was just admiring her in natural sunlight when I noticed how much nicer she looked outside. So I tried snapping some head shots of her in the shade with my flash dialed down to almost nothing. I think they came out fairly well so I'm going to mess around with it some more and hopefully find a method that will do this girl justice!!

Let me know what you think...

Thanks for looking,
Celia
