kinda camera's you guys running?
i have a nice cam (polaroid i533) eh dont get me wrong. even though its some years old i purchased it for mostly outdoor shots, which it takes very very well. (i do auto detail on the side) an for outdoors like i say the photo's come out spot on. but my indoor shots arent as ummm focused shall i say. i see some of you guys close up shots and im just cuz i cant get those with my cam. so with out bashing my cam lol, let me know what you all are snapping with and will it break my bank.

Nikon D90. Great camera for a decent price. Plus, you can't go wrong with Nikon lenses. IMO, one of the best lenses out there.

Re: kinda camera's you guys running?
I mostly use my Droid and just email the pix to myself.
I bought a cheapie Fujifilm Finepix J20 to keep with me when I'm riding my bike or dont feel like carrying a larger one around.
I also have a Sony DSC-H7 for the times when I need a real camera....but wanting a better one.

Re: kinda camera's you guys running?
I use a Leica D-Lux, which was expensive when I bought it, like five years ago, but used, it's cheap now. It's durable, it's lasted like nobody's business, and I like the close-ups. But it takes bad low-light pics, and sometimes the flash is weird. I just kind of learned the kinks, adapted, and told myself "it's a leica, it's a leica", lol.
We also use a Nikon D70, and rock a few film cameras, a Nikon N55, and a few old Minoltas from the 70s.

i sometimes email my phone pics to myself but when i get mad... my phone is the first thing that takes the blow. so i dont want to upset myself trying to snap a pic with it unless its high noon (extra bright out) and im right pressed up against the object im taking a pic of. did i say i hate my phone

well if i had to choose for an upgrade to what i have now it would be a tough decision between the fujifilm s1500 and the sony dsc-h7. if i can find a hook up on the canon xsi i would consider that. going to go do some shopping so hopefully later in the day i'll have a new toy. thanks for all the input...... "its a leica, its a leica"

Re: kinda camera's you guys running?
LOL! A guide? Man, I am camera illiterate, I just point and shoot. OH I guess it does have manual settings, maybe it was for those? The auto mode works like any other point and shoot, you hold the button down 'til it autofocuses, then you click, and you have a picture. I'll have to dig out my manual and see how thick it is, I don't think I ever looked at it!

My sony h7 wins in outdoor shots...but indoor and certain lighting it just seems to fail it has served me well for many years though

Re: kinda camera's you guys running?
Looks like the Sony H7 is a popular camera. I've managed to fake my way through a few great pix with it.

Re: kinda camera's you guys running?
I have a Nikon Cool Pix. It was the best that $200 could buy. I have had it for 3 years and still don't know how to use it.

I have a Cannon Powershot A590 IS. Best camera I've ever worked with, especially for the price.

I just got a new camera for xmas. It's a Kodak EasyShare Z915. It's been a great camera so far. It was $200 but they have it on sale now for $130.

Yellowstone rocks (I'm assuming that's where those pictures are taken). Have yet to go there, but definitely on the list of places-to-be.
