America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. – John Quincy Adams (1821)

Absolutely beautiful, I LOVE snow. Hardly ever seen it. Leaving Toronto late last month, it started snowing at the airport. And I saw it once in February in Torinto and once in New Mexico long ago in December - that's it.

Tammy, I think we should do a vacation share, so you can see a Denver winter. Of course, being in Jamaica would really suck for me, but I'd make the sacrifice for your enrichment.

Re: MI snow
my mom who is in MI called me and told me about the snow. she was all upset and decided she wants to move her. on my day off i am going to the apartments next door to my townhouses to see if it is what she would like. she is in her 80's and the snaow is to much for her now. i am so glad she is moving here cause i miss her terribly. we were together every day before i moved. oh when my mom called me i had all my windows open and i was enjoying the nice weather.

Re: MI snow
You people are crazy!! Who doesn't love snow?
I grew up in Minnesota and Vermont, so we got PLENTY. Then we moved out West. The first thing I can remember when we moved here was the first snow of the year. Two inches. And school was called off. I just about had a cow. In Minnesota, we'd get many, many feet of snow and I'd still have to go to school. :P
