Light Box (How-To)
I had a few people asking me what a lightbox was and how i made one, Well basically it is a little area that you can control the light for photography. All you will need is a dark room, like basically your bedroom with the lights off at night, A flourescent tube light just like 10 inches so you can move it around easily, a Chair, a Camera, a unfaded dark shirt, or a sheet of fabric, a couple tiles or different props,
First just put a chair in the middle of the room
Next Put the fabric or dark shirt over the back of the chair and a bit on the seat like shown
Now set up your props
Add a hand held tube flourescent light and you got a light box
NOW HERES HOW TO USE IT
the chair just gives it shape, the dark fabric is to absorb light and reduce glare, the tiles or props are to have a background of your choice, or something to put the snake or whatever on to photograph,
Basically move the light around the subject until you have the ammount of light or shaddow you want, remeber you have to have the lights in the room off so it is pretty much pitch black before you turn the light on, the only light in the room will be the tube light, Experament with different fabrics and different colors, and different tiles or props and go nuts,
heres a pic of the first time i used mine
the light from the tube will make it so the camera flash doesnt go off
enjoy, and make sure to post your pics

Re: Light Box (How-To)
i imagine youll need something bigger or a lot more patience for bigger snakes, especially one that wants to move around, this guy was a lil defensive so it made the picture taking so much easier
