More DSLR pics
Today I decided to go outside and take a few shots after reading on all this shutter, aperture and other camera terms.
First pic is of the Iris that bloomed in front of my house:
Second picture is a action shot of my dogs using the 50-150mm lens:

Re: More DSLR pics
A good polorizing (sp?) filter is a MUST have. The difference in the pics is immeasurable. It really helps the skys POP with Blue.
These pics are great. Flower pic is waaaay better (more crisp, etc) than the last ones you posted. And the action shot of the dogs are clear and sharp without any blur. Nice work.

Re: More DSLR pics
Yeah I was told to get a polorizing and uv filter. Are these needed with Digital SLR since they have built in white balance etc, or do these filters have nothing to do with light....sorry still learning all this stuff

Re: More DSLR pics
Isn't the point of a polarizing lense to BLOCK UV? I need to know how to get one to.
