new camera, a few pics.

so i got my canon 350d yesterday, and ive been reading the manual and playing with it, this is my first time using an SLR so im very very new at this.
and i thought i would post a few of my new ones [from last night] for comments/critique/tips.

i really like this one of grammy, i dont have many of her, but the ones i get usually turn out pretty good.

and i tried to take some shots of my RAPTOR female, but i was using a florescent light, which was making everything purple/blue, and i couldnt figure out the white balance, and it was all under exposed... so i got a picture that looked like this:

which.. i went to go fix in PS but.. it wasnt working, so i gave up, and ran the other direction, making something that looks almost leucisitic.

Have fun playing with your new camera. Keep it up and you'll get all the tricks. I'm not the best photographer but I love taking pictures and I think we have the best subjects to shoot at.

Keep up the good work. Photoshop can take a bit of work to get images to come out right.

I took your image into PS and tweaked it a little bit. I dont know if its any better but the color seems to be more true.

At any rate.. not bad for a Cannon
