anyone ever buy cricketrs from worm man?
Crickets Live and Breeding
they have 1000 crickets for like 22bux SHIPPED it is very tempting, i did notice they have one bad rep review on their website but no one is perfect. its tempting, they gaurantee their crickets up to 95 degrees whereas most places are up to 90degrees. i live in TEXAS but i was thinking almost ALL of the local major pet stores more than likely order in their crickets from a lot of online breeders and they always seem to have crickets, that are healthy, so if they are just 15 or twenty miles away then i should have the same results.
but this place will ship you crickets for about as much as shipping cost at other places online. not counting the crickets themselves. which usually ends up close to 40$ for a 1000.
i am just hesitant to pay the money when it is one of those situations where they could all show up dead. and my money be blown. i really need to get some in bluk cause i tihnk crickets are ridiculously overpriced at petstores, i have heard that if you order large or adults they die off fast??? is this true? i would rather order a size under what i need that way they would grow to adultsize.
i have just always been under the impression that large crickets dont live long cause they havce exceeded their full life????
and would they be able to survive on a 2-3 day shipping? has anyone ever done that?

Sorry no useful info to your question, but I did just order some crickets from worm man. Now I'm just waiting for them to show up. There prices are pretty good. I'll let you know how it turns out.

1000 for 22 bucks is a great deal... i wish i could take advantage of that...but i only have 1 animal that eats crickets if i bought 100 it would be a waste...

Re: anyone ever buy cricketrs from worm man?
I used to buy from wormman... I haven't for a couple years now. Everything was great when i first started ordering from them, but then after awhile they started screwing up my orders, one of which was somehow sent to Greenville, VA instead of Granville, WV... and then sometimes they sent me other people's orders, sometimes getting double the amount of crickets or mealworms that I had ordered, but luckily I didn't get charged twice for it... so anyway, I've been buying from reptilefood.com now and they've been great.
The thing with ordering large quantities of crickets like that, you must order smaller than you need. Depending on the reptile you keep, you don't want to get too small... I have a tokay gecko, veiled chameleon and a leopard gecko, and I always order 1/2" and they last me 2 or more months and then some.

Re: anyone ever buy cricketrs from worm man?
Just an update. I got my order in from them yesterday and all was good. Out of 250 looks like only about 10 were dead. So far I am satisfied with them. After reading what Adrya wnet through with them I probably would have switched to another seller too.
