Real credit card fraud! Gecko biz owner beware .

I just got ripped off for a pretty decent dollar amount for a mail order of geckos and am hoping I can help others to avoid getting ripped off. Also if you have heard of these folks in forums or have had a gecko transaction with these folks let me know please.

The order was a gift order placed in July from billing address in Mesa, Arizona. Credit card zip verified fine. Order of leopards was shipped to Cheektowaga, New York. All conversations were via e-mail, nothing out of the ordinary. I can provide e-mail addies of both ordering party and receiving party privately along with more details of the transaction. The ordering party also ordered another gecko shortly after the first order was received which was thankfully sold that same day to a legimate customer. They also asked if I had Raptor hets which was surprisingly sophisticated for a gift order customer. Usually they just want cute and don't know about trendy morphs.

I just got a new credit card machine that checks more items like address, and CCVN, the three or four digit code. It is not possible to avoid all fraud, but if you don't have one of these newer machines you are rolling the dice on that for sure! My old machine would just verify zip.

	Morph A morph is a color or pattern variation that is proven to be genetic. Common morphs include albino, anerythristic, gentically striped, Hypomelanistic, and many others. Morphs also include combinations of simple traits such as "Sunglow" which is Albino and Hypomelanistic. These traits may be recessive traits, co-dominant traits, dominant traits, or created through selective breeding (ie Pastel).

Have you posted this to the BOI?
It sounds like something that the whole community should be made aware of and the more places you post it the better.
You'll need to name names etc there though.
Oops your friend should post this to the BOI, if you post it it will be hear say and not acceptable.

My friend is not a member of RTB just making the everyone aware of there scammers which they have been running several scams beside this one.

Well when my friend ran the credit card the first time it was fine (verified fine)
some time afterwards got a statement that the credit card was no good


credit card statement that this bad guy did hit up Dell for a pretty penny as well as Petco, Petsmart, Captive Reptile Specialists , a horse place and a dog breeder in Georgia lost out on $1450.

I work in a bank at the Credit Card Division. The scams are countless. This is the danger with mail order we always advice our clients that do mail order to have the buyer fax you a copy of the card back and front to prove they have not just gotten the numbers from somewere we also let them draft a document this also get faxed which the buyer signs to verify the signature.

I just use paypal pay them the bank fees and let them deal with the scums. LOL!!! Plus bank fees are written off at the end of the year anyway.
