My boyfriend and I went on a little road trip down to Southern Illinois for traffic court (yay
) and on the way back, we were invited to the home of Mr. Will Bird, from Extraordinary Ectotherms in Louisville, KY. (
http://ectotherms.net). I must say, it was an awesome experience. He has a HUGE collection, and some incredible animals. His Jaguar Carpets are out of this world. He has an awesome set-up, cleaner than any I've seen, and some amazing babies for sale. Needless to say, we didn't walk away empty handed.
1.0 Jungle carpet, born in June and he's already bumble bee yellow! And I don't mean drab or dark... I mean YELLOW! Lots of contrast, and his black is BLACK! Absolutley an amazing animal, and...
0.1 75% Diamond x Jungle Carpet, born in May and absolutely beautiful. She's already big, with a massive head for such a little girl. She has great color for being in blue... again lots of contrast and very bright. I'm sure I'll be even more amazed when she sheds. She has a somewhat limited pattern also.. different from many of the 75% Diamond crosses I've seen.
I said NO MORE SNAKES! But I always say that. And we came across some extra money, which was a nice suprise, so what better way to spend it? Plus I've been looking for a nice pair like this for a long long time.
If ANYONE is looking for a Jungle Carpet or a Diamond cross, I highly reccomend Will Bird. His animals are healthy, well cared for, and super beautiful. If you look at his website, keep in mind that every python on there looks a million times better now and in person, and they've all yellowed up a ton. His stock is amazing. I promise I'll post pics tomorrow. We just got home, and really need to get some sleep!
