Sunrise Pet Center has some of the worst reptile care I have seen. Everything is in a ten gallen tank, except their baby RTB which was in a five. Everything does have a heat lamp, but nothing has
UVB. Their baby-beardies are way over crowded. Labels on the tanks state the humidity by saying "high" "med" or "low". What is "high"? 70%? 90%? Low? 0%? 20%?
All reptiles except frogs were out of water, including the two Russian Tortoises by the door who didn't even have a water dish in their tank. They also had them labeled "Russian Tortise". I did mention the water issue to an employee who was only too happy to fix it. How do you not even put a dish for water in a reptiles home?
Kasch's Kritters is run by a father/son team who are very good with their facts, but not with their care. No water/dirty water for everyone. No
UVB for most beardies, geckos, frogs, etc. They had a really skinny beardie in there who looked like he was just waiting to die and I asked how much he was and they said he wouldn't be worth buying because he was going to die soon. No
UVB or heat. Nice. They had a younger one up front they pointed out to me who was just as skinny with sagging skin/scales.
Suprisingly though the
PetsSmart in my area has really nice reptile habitats. Everyone had water, lighting, hides, fake plants, and food.
