LLLReptile Rave
So my snakes arrived today, I received them from LLLReptiles. At first I was skeptical about mail-ordering snakes, but I heard from others they were good. Although you cannot see the exact snake you are receiving on the website, they are perfect!!! They seem like they were packaged with great care, very safely and neatly. LLL also sent along caresheets and a paper explaining that the snakes will be stressed and to place them in their homes and not feed them for a few days. It also explained to let them get used to room temperature before placing them in any heated cage. I know all this already, like most people here, but I like that they take the time to inform just in case.
They are so tiny, I'm not used to it! I havent had baby snakes this little in a while. The Pueblan is definately crazy, and almost got away from me when I was trying to put him in his new home. The Black Mexican kingsnake was much calmer and was easily picked up. They both are beautiful and healthy looking and are settling down in their homes...I'll post some pictures later on!

Congrats...you got lucky. Others haven't been so lucky. I've heard several people complain that the animal the received was nothing close to what they ordered. An example that I can think of off the top of my head was someone here a while back that ordered a "halloween" baby amazon got a bland plain garden phase. When they contacted LLL all they got for a reply is that halloweens loose the orange anyway as they mature and end up gardenphase too. While this is true, it doesn't excuse the misrepresnentation.
You also have LLL to blame for some of the shippers laying the hammer down on shipping snakes. They had some problems with UPS and UPS specifically told them NO MORE snakes. Shortly after that a snake escaped on a UPS loading dock from one of their packages that was labeled as something else through an airhole. LLL denied that it was theirs but it was rather obvious where the snake came from. I'm currious...how do they ship now?

They are certified through Fed Ex. They shipped Fed Ex Priority Overnight. They have a return policy as well, stating that they guarantee their animals one week after delivery as long as the temp is 35 to 90 degrees, and will still keep the guarantee if FedEx is delayed. Problems with receiving the wrong animal or wrong size or anything different than what is on the site needs to be brought up within 24 hours of receiving it and you get refunded. They also e-mail confirm what day is good for you, and when something came up on the day I thought I'd be home, they were very understanding and quickly changed the ship date that I originally confirmed.
Believe me I made sure of this, even though I read the policy, I called to talk to someone to make sure if they sent me something different than what I thought I was getting, they would be responsible. While I do not think I would order anything very expensive or any special reptiles with special requirements, my purchase was only a $40 Pueblan Milksnake and a $50 Black Mexican Kingsnake. There isnt too much that can go wrong there. Where I live you cannot find these snakes often in the store, and when they are, they are over $100. With shipping my total for both was about $60 a piece.

I ordered supplies thru there, and was satisfied with their service and prices. I dont like ordering a snake I cant see with my own eyes, and Im hesitant about ordering any online where I cant see them in person. Mystery came from LLLReptile originally, and was a really pretty Boa.

I used them when I was looking for a Green Basilisk because I could not find one locally. She came professionally packaged and in perfect health. If they had anything I was looking for I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Times change and bad reviews eventually force people to clean up their act. All I ever heard about them was only as recent as a few years ago so I suppose it's possible they aren't as rotten now as they once were. They still don't impress me in person at the shows though with their lack of professionalism, rough handling and rudeness.

Yes, not having met any of them in person, I cant say much about their professionalism. Behavior at shows says just as much as professional service, and quality of animals, IMO.

I've ordered several animals from them and still have them today, fat and happy, even when they arrived. I was rather a little skeptical at first ordering from them, too.. since I had ordered baby softshell turtles from another site and died a month later... But there was something about LLL that was more promising.
Lemme see... Goliath the RTB, Jupiter the blood python, Skoshi the sand boa, Cookie the leopard gecko... and yeah, i think that's it. lol

I'm glad to hear about the new additions. I'm glad that everything lived up to it's expectations! I can't wait to see the pics!

I've bought a sub-adult Bolivian Amarali from them and two ball pythons. Aside from one of the ball pythons missing two small scales, all were beautiful and healthy. I still have the ball python with the missing scales, and he's plump and growing fast. I like his pattern a lot, so he's a keeper.
