Sorry, but I don't think that I've seen it before. But the set-up that they have used to house the little guy is fairly common, that may be why it looks like one you have seen before.

Id call periodically on the money order 800 number to see when its been cashed...Then I would email her or call and say something like "Since the bank cleared the money order on such and such day. I can assume you will ship the snake this Tues/Thurs. Please notify me of shipping information."
This lets her know your on top of things..
Ive never heard of a bank clearing the money order...Checks yes, money orders, NO.. Money orders work like cash, only better..You have a receipt. Tell your friend to DEFINITELY hang on to that receipt and save any and all correspondence to this person in case..

Well I don't think I'd suggest shipping on Wednesday because you'd hate for some holdback and the snake to be left over the weekend. I'd say Tuesday shipping would be fine and I would understand the reasoning for that.
As far as the picture--Maybe e-mail her and ask for her to possibly e-mail a couple more pictures, say close-ups for identification purposes for the shipping process. I don't know what the reason could be but that might let you know that she does actually have that particular snake right?

in most cases they do not, but with fraudulent money orders and cashiers checks being extremely common these days, many banks have put in a "hold period" on money orders.
Its usually only a few days, and I think postal money orders may be exempt from it, but im not sure, but I do know that money orders and casheirs checks are sometimes held for a few days. (per a good friend who is a VP of a independent bank in my neighborhood)
As far as shipping fed ex (there are verified fed ex shippers for reptiles), shipping by overnight service that only works normally on M-F, tues/wed would be the only days I'd ship too, just to ensure that if the package has a problem, its not going to sit somewhere for 2 days until someone does something with it.
For the pic, i've never seen that one exactly, but as others have stated in the thread, pics of Boas in sterilite/rubbermaid boxes arent exactly rare, so it would be easy to confuse it with another similar pic.
I havent seen the ad, but if something seems fishy to you, or seems too good to be true, its been my experience that its just best to pass on it.
Not that its the case with this seller, but if you or your friend are suspicous, save yourself the stress and just forget about it, nice boas arent in very short supply, you can find another from someone who is verified as being reliable.
