About 2 weeks ago I bought a lizard from a friend of mine who works at a exotic pet store. She had ordered 2 lizards that were called butterfly agamas, she had only got 2 because she has not had them before but she has had at one time a golden agama so she set their cage as she did for that one.she has been in the reptile and amphibian field for over 15 years and this is the first time she could not give me much infromation and sadly she lost one and I have the other.she was told they are in the uromastix family but I can not find anything about or looks like what I have. in neither species family. But then trying to find true names can be hard.So far he has done good but the only thing he will eat is wax worms and is that ok.So I am concered that he may require other food sorce in its diet.So infromation on housing requirements and diet sorce would be great.... SO IF SOMEONE MAY KNOW WHAT I HAVE OR MIGHT HAVE CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME

Um, a picture or at least a verbal description would help greatly. Any idea of where it occurs naturally? Africa, Australia, SE Asia? There are at least 30 species with Agama as part of their scientific name, and a bunch more that are part of the agamidae family.
Check this link to see if this is your boy
I find that www.google.com can find info on most anything

P.S how is their temperment far as taming mine seems to be sweet but sqermish and don't sit still very long

all I can suggest is search google using the scientific name....
I don't know anything about them except what I find on the net...
if they are insectivorous, try some crickets...
the link I posted said warm, dry terriarium and listed temperatures.

Once again google.com comes through. learn google, make it your friend
BUTTERFLY AGAMA
Leiolepis belliana
These lizards are native to Southern China, Indo-China and Sumatra. They are found in open areas where they live on the ground and like to dig deep burrows. Butterfly Agamas are territorial but can be kept in groups with one male per group as long as enough space, basking, and hiding places are provided.
Maximum size: 20 inches
Lighting: Full spectrum fluorescent UV bulbs and a basking light are required.
Temperature range: Day 86 - 95 F Night 76 - 85F
Food: Crickets coated in calcium and vitamin powder. Bite size pieces of vegetable matter should be provided daily in a shallow dish or lid. Leafy greens, such as collard greens, kale, turnip greens, mustard greens, and dandelion greens are good choices and should be varied.
Water: A large, shallow bowl of clean water should always be available for drinking and soaking.
Housing/Habitat: An aquarium equipped with an under tank heating pad on one end and sand substrate that is deep enough to facilitate burrowing. The sand should be deeper at one end and the lowest layer of the sand substrate should be kept moist. Landscape to provide plenty of hiding places.

Oh, and next time, you might want to do the research BEFORE you buy the animal, not after
