Native Irish Lizards
Look what I found!!! This a lizard native to Ireland, Lacerta vivipara.
I never knew about these at all. They are so cool, it is illegal to catch them here but I'm going to have to go down and have a look at them. The live in the sand dunes on the south west coast of Ireland, I don't know how they survive the cold here though!

They can survive in the cold because their dark color attracts the sunlight. Kind of the same thing as the Galapagos Iguanas.
