would like opinions...plz
thinking about getting a northern bt skink...I've been reading up on them...and have wanted a blue tongue for a while...
I would just like to hear from ppl who have them (i've already heard all good stuff).

My best friend currently has two, one of them being a rescue, and they're SO SWEET and personable. I would totally recommend one.

Does anyone have any pics of theirs? Also, the store sells them (northerns) for 150.00 but the one I want is missing his front leg due to a bite from a leggless lizard (go figure, must have been jealous)...anyway, it has healed and is otherwise fine, the guy said he'd give him to me for $75...my husband says i can get him if i can talk him down to 50...
??

I wouldn't settle for a rescue when buying... if it is a rescue it should be free.
I have two Northerns and one Irian Jaya. Both are good choices.

It wouldn't really be a rescue...the guy who has it knows what he is doing...he says he doesn't want to sell it to just anyone (he could just be buttering me up)...his wife wants to keep it...he said he knows my hub and I know what we are doing etc...
should I ask for less or just leave it alone...we go there usually once a week or so...he knows i am a sucka for any reptile lol...

This is just the way that I feel... but when I spend $$ I want it to be on something that doesn't have any defects...
If it is only a missing leg and other wise healthy... I wouldn't spend more than $40. It would be considered a B or C grade animal.
I'm sure he would be a happy lizard non the less. And he will have the same awesome personality as most Northerns do.  |
