I have 1.2 juvinal Frilled Dragons in a 65 gallon reptarium and I hate it!! It doesn't retain heat or humidity worth anything. I was wondering what everyone perfers for a nice set up for Frillies. I would perfer to buy a cage since I cannot build one myself.

I kept a pair in a 48x30x18 vision cage,
but they never seemed too happy in it.
A tall cage with lots of branches would be best I would think.

I have seen a lot of people using trough's from horse's with plexiglass/wood covers on them. They are a cheap and effective way of makeing a large enclousure for monitors, bearded dragons, and frilled dragons etc. I believe they are two feet high as is and you could probly find a way to extend the hight by adding on some taller wooden sides to it for more climbing room. I thought frilled dragons where a dry-climate animal? How much humidity do they require?

I've never kept these guys , or read anything on their
husbandary.
From, what I have observed in the wild they are a fairly
arboreal species and 2ft high doesn't sound like nearly enough to me.
I would give them 6ft. ,at least. To avoid predators they will take up a tree to
about this height and sit dead still, the frill is a last resort.
They are found in sub-tropical to tropical Aust. so a low humidity would not
suit them though i would say 55-60% would be fine.
Make sure the day temps don't drop much below 76F and give them a basking spot around
88F.What enclosure will give you this no idea .What's your locale & whats the
ambient temp./humidity.???
