Yes, it's an new addition that has LEGS. I bought him more because I felt he deserved better than he was getting and he grew on me the more and more I went to visit.
He's got a bit of a sneeze.. His conditions that he was in, was.. newspaper, with a casserole dish full of dry sand. No humidity and the like.. I've got him with a potting soil substrate for the time being until I can find a place in town that sells cypress, or a non pine/cedar bark mulch, his humidity is at a nice 75%+, he's been burrowing like mad instead of flopped on the newspaper like he had been every time I seen him. He's already eaten a few crickets and seems oblivious to me other than when I've changed his water.. (Considering how much dirt he gets in it. XD) Now I'm not too sure about lizards, considering I'm used to snakes.. but he was sneezing a bit as I was watching him chase the crickets around. No wheezing or whistling, just a quick little sneeze.
So I'm wondering if it could be a sign of a respiratory infection, or if he's just clearing his nostrils of the substrate, considering I've got his temps up to 86 degrees on the warm side, and the cool side's in the mid 70's which from the research I've been doing the past month or so seems right. He's a heck of a lot more active now than I've ever seen him, and he was horribly dull looking when I picked him up, and checking on him this evening his color seems to've brightened up even!
Anyway, just hoping some of the lizard gurus can let me know about the little sneeze. I'm gonna keep a close eye on him, plus upgrade his enclosure with little plants, a few rocks and some nifty little hides in the next week or so and I'm gonna get some pictures as soon as I can find my camera.
