I have been thinking about getting a blue and definitely want to find out all the info first. I was looking at a few caresheets and here's what I came up with so far... around a 100 basking area, high 80's cool side. Obviously hides and water and such. But what about substrate and foods? Do they like to burrow? And I know that the caresheets said variety, some mentioned cat and dogs wet food, meal worms, greens... What's the best kind of variety/how often to offer each of them? Also, do they need vitamin/calcium or any other supplements like some other lizards? And I'm assuming some type of uv light as well right? And I think the last question - what size cage for adult vs. young... do the younger ones feel more secure in a smaller tank like young boas or are they ok roaming around a bigger tank all day? Oh also... I'm poking around a little bit, but was definitely going to hold off until after the columbus reptile show on the 16th to see if they have some there. Does anyone know of anybody that has them there or someone relizble that has them elsewhere? Thanks ahead - sorry for all the questions, just want to get everything covered before getting into anything!!
I think thats about it...feel free to add anything that I may have missed or am just not thinking about right now.
