Anyone have any information on these guys?, I need some for like tomorrow, or the next day and i cant find anything on the internet. Their extremely rare, like everyone i know have never even seen one. Were going to be getting one in the next few days from someone who rescued it.

i dont know anything about keeping them, but here in england we often see them. just the other day i was out and saw a slow worm in the road so i picked it up and put it in a near by bush. there really cool. they dont really bite but when you handle them they will usually poop until they get used to it. there really cute. sorry i couldnt give any good info. make sure you post some pics when you get it.

Yeah. Hopefully i can find info. It says they like humid places, i figure after the quarenteen time maybe on peatmoss and sand mixed togehter with many places to burrow into with UVB and a heatlight. But i want to find out more about it first. The place he came from was infested with mites so hes quarenteened in the bathroom for a good while to make sure theres none of em in there

Legless lizard? I havent heard of a slow worm LOL! I just looked them up.. Have you seen this site?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/wildfact...iles/281.shtml
Those are really weird..LOL
On some of the sites I found they said one survived 54yrs in captivity!

Sorry that may not be much help, but Im sure you will do fine with him
I would assume with their diet, UV wouldnt hurt.

yes me and my friend were debating the uv and it really wouldnt hurt. and ive read those sites before as well lol. I think the only thing i can do is go from what ive read study the temperatures(try to find out wich locality he is) of the area and mimmick it the best i can. They said they were feeding it pinkies wich i think is probably too fat for it but good from time to time. And said he'll eat superworms and slugs, slugs you cant get commercially but superworms you can! With a little supplementation added as well. Im figuring cypress much and peat moss now for a good humidity and burrowing medium, and probably UV and a heatlight, id say 87 on the warm side would be a good happy medium temp to start with and see how he fares with that temperature.
