How far down the tail was the break??
He will probably lose it and sometimes they grow back just not to full length..
Id watch it, if it doesnt fall off, Id take him to the vet...I probably would anyways just to let them look it over..
Incidentally do you know all the set up requirements on those?
I have a good site for info if you need anything
I know you have chams so you are probably familiar with lizard requirements.

I'm not sure really. These injuries aren't rare in iguannas and water dragons. Some people make some sort of a cast for it but without seeing pics and seeing how bad it is, we can't tell you what to do for sure.

i will post some pics tomorrow i'm letting it calm down it lost part of its tail already and there is still a good part broken about 3-4 inches from the base of the tail. i have had waterdragons before and i was working with this dragon at the store so i know the caging and husdandry for them. the only problem i have with takeing it to the vet is the only good reptile vet in town is the world known Dr Rossi and he charges an arm and a leg just for bringing it in.

Ok if the tail is barely there, Id leave it, it will fall off and regrow..Just not as long probably. Look for signs of infection..if you start seeing infection set in, you will need to use antibiotic ointment and swab it with Betadine..

jeez..ouch!!..I wouldnt reset it.. The vet would be your Water Dragons best bet..
I would have him definitely look at him, arm and a leg or not..If you dont want to..Send him to me LOL
As far as the nose rubbing, the larger the cage the better.. It also will help if you place greenery or some sort of background, even if its ugly ol newspaper. That way, the dragon can see his borders and not slam into the cage..
mshrmheadcharge is EXCELLENT with Water Dragons and can help you with treatment if you need it, if you cant get ahold of her, I know a few tricks.
She may also be able to help you with the tail thing..I have her on Yahoo IM and I can get a message to her if you need it
