Yeah mine is somewhat active, but hes laying weird...like all flattened out on the carpet...I figured he was trying to soak up heat?? Ever hear of that??
I think hes trying to sleep really..LOL and I keep bugging him..
I hope he will be allright, I read my caresheets for them and got everything ready before I got him...But they still dont tell you all the weird little quirks the animal has in those caresheets...I couldnt find a friggin book for water dragons that had anything more in depth than the caresheets.
I dont get how PETCO can keep these buggers alive and we cant...LOL THAT is pathetic..

Ok, here is a summary and a few question. How old is the water dragon and what sex. The article talks about female water dragons and iguannas not eating about 4 weeks prior to laying eggs. Even if they weren't in with a male!!!!

Let me answers the questions the best I can.
1. Asian Water Dragon
2. I’ve had her for about 2 years
3. Ambient Temps is 75
4. Basking temps 87
5. She is full-grown
6. She gets 10 super worms every other day and once a week a pinky
7. Last time she ate was 12 days ago
8. 2 bulbs one is zoo med reptlsun 5.0 UVB F15T8/REPT, the 2nd I’m not sure on the brand but it’s a 60watt night bulb
9. Zoo med temp gage
10. Free roomer no cage
11. N/A
12. Not eating other than that she is fine
13. No
14. I know having her as a free roomer is not the best thing in the world, but if I put her in a cage she rubbers her nose to the bone. She was wild caught I did not know any thing about that when I got her and I was just plain ignorant. She has been treated for parasites. When I first got her. At times she would skip a day or two, not eating but nothing like this.
Thank you for all of your help sites like this are awesome.

has she ben loosing any weight?
You might have to put her in a tank for now...up the humidity and change the bulb. This way you can control her environment while she recovers. The cage should be large enough to house a kitty litter pan and provide a basking area...if you need help on upping the humidity let me know...at this time keep it at 80%. You can lower it when she get s better but it should not fall below 70.
The bulb should be changed even if you just bought it. The output is giving the animal no uvb ---they have been tested and they are crap.
The new bulb depends on the size of your cage. Let me know what size tank you will be using.
After these things have been done....you need to soak the animal ach day to completely hydrate it. Allow it at least 30 minutes...to soak.
After 3 days of this (changing the bulb is very important or don't bother going to this next step)....you can begin a syringe feeding routine. Let me know what time the bulb is set to come on..and I will let you know what to mix up and how often to feed it.

What tip of UVB bulb do you suggest I’m moving to settle WA the new cage will take some time because I’m moving. Will one of the reptariums work in Seattle with some tip of humidity devise. I be able to get that a lot sooner than any thing else I can think of that would be big enough for her.

It may as long as you cover like 3 or 4 of the sides with some sort of plastic. What size were you looking at? I would be worried about nose rubs in that too.
