enclosure size for a full grown black tegu

hey all just wondering what would be a good size for a full grown tegu cage. i've seen everywhere from 6x2 to 12x4. i want to give him more than minimum but not something thats just too big for whereever i will be when he's full grown. thanx

how big is this tegu currently? boaphile and custom cages.com make great stuff. if you want to build your own, i would go at least 2 feet deepxfoot and a half tall by four feet long. plenty of dirt or something like that for him to dig and make a mess. also plenty of wood to hide under [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
