Curviers Caiman,
Hey i am thinking about getting a curviers dwarf or smooth front caiman when we move to a little bigger house, (we are renting now but we are looking to buy a house) and we should have a basment and that is where i will probably keep it since it will probably need a large enclosure, i know they are relativly small crocodilians and only grow 1.5 meters and females are smaller and i plan to get a female, i just want to know what kind of things i will need for it, what it eats and how much, how expensive it will be to keep it and how fast it will grow, and any other info would be great!! I hopefully will be able to make one of the basment rooms (if we find a house with a finished basment) a reptile room and i will be able to add on to my collection and hopefully be able to breed some.

They are great. I used to have a spectacled caiman and he was awesome. You never have to worry about the feeding and if you will have the room in about 10 months for a setup bigger than an aquarium (they grow very fast) then go for it.
