Just a newbie like Question

Ok lets get this straight my lizards are YOUNG, but i never took the time to realize how do u know a lizards getting older besides and biggerness of a lizardfor instenc, my fence if he gre old what kind of things would change(scales, belly,scales) excetera

i know its newbish but just wondering

I dont know what kind of lizards you have; I'll talk about aboreal lizards because it will make me feel smart and I ahve no clue about desert lizards.
For males, their crests and spines will get larger, they will change colour as they mature, females will simply get bigger, and the colour change. As for scales and the like, I am not sure.
