blue tongue vs plated

I want to what what makes a better pet. blue tongued skink or a plated lizard. I want to beable to handle them. Also what are the approximate costs. And if there are any other lizards in the same size range that make good pets say so.

Bearded Dragon's make good lizard's to start with and usally run anywhere from $25 up to $175 or so just depend's on the color morph? I don't know anything about the other lizard's you mentioned!

i recently picked up a blue tongue.. i LOve it... its Very tame and loves to be pet..

idd defenatly go with the BTS.. its lazy and will rest on ur lap while you surf the net or watch the tube...

the blue tongue will rang from 99-200 depends on size.. i got mine(17 inches) for 150 at a petstore... so look around for breeders or online shops for beter deals...

i dont know anything about a plated lizard.. so no help there.

blue tongues need a good size cage to.. 5x2 feet is the disired foot print of the cage..

If ya want a lizard that is handled well, of the two that you mentioned, the BTS is the better choice IMO. Plateds are not as likely to sit still for handling as a BTS is. You can get the BTS for $50, but you'd have to look around some for that price even. Basically they seem to go for like 90-200 like already said. The plated goes for about $20-$30.
