Im so the proud new owner of the most awsome Tegu on this planet. She is sooooo sweet and calm. I took her outside for the first time and she loved it! hehe, I knew this was April before I even opened it! this tegu is for real, the calmest tegu I've ever seen! it will just sit on your shoulder! we've been taking care of it for a couple weeks now at the pet store, and I've never even heard it huff! read more about her in the Grrrrrrrrrr! post in pet/reptile suppliers forum. anyone know of a good columbian name for a black tegu? -Juggalo

I don't recommend feeding it eggs. Unless they are cooled IMMEDIATLY after being layed they can carry all sorts of bacteria and such. Check out www.bluetegu.com to read ron's caresheet for tegus. I really like ron's site that's why I push it so much when the talk of tegus comes up. It's the best site I've found for them and I too want a pair of blues.
