Knight Anole caught in Florida

Suprise!
He was found in someone's back yard. (they run like iggys down here)
They were wondering why he wasn't eating his bacon and lettuce. Yes I said bacon.
So here is my problem. I have him and if he does't eat do I let him go? He is a wild animal and use to finding food for himself, but he is not native.
I know I'm probably jumping the gun here without feeding him yet.(need to go get bugs in the morning)But just incase he doesn't eat I wanna know everyone's feedback.

Thanks guys/gals!

They are beautiful animals. He would probably take crickets right away. Probably anything
small, moving, and edible. I've never had a knight anole but the other smaller species
are pretty easy to care for. Eventually you could probably release him. I know they are not
native to FL, but they've pretty much established themselves very well.
